Sharday Jones is an expert grant writer and strategic development consultant with more than a decade of experience helping mission-driven organizations design sustainable growth strategies and secure transformative funding. As Founder and Principal Consultant of S. Jones Impact Consulting (SJIC), a certified Minority and Women Business Enterprise (MBE/WBE) based in Baltimore, she has led clients across behavioral health, education, housing, and community development sectors to collectively secure over $30 million in grants and contracts.
With a background in instructional design, psychology, and adult education, Sharday blends analytical precision with strategic vision—guiding organizations to strengthen compliance, build capacity, and align resources with long-term impact. Her work emphasizes clarity, accountability, and collaboration, ensuring that every project moves from idea to execution with measurable results.
Through SJIC’s role as an approved Technical Assistance Provider for the Baltimore Vacants Reinvestment Initiative (BVRI), Sharday and her team support grantees in achieving excellence in compliance, development, and project management—helping transform community investments into lasting neighborhood progress.

Jenay Sermon, Ph.D
Jenay Sermon, Ph.D. is a nationally respected researcher, evaluator, and learning systems strategist with over 15 years of experience across the nonprofit, education, and public sectors. Her work centers on helping organizations design and scale equity-focused programs using qualitative research, participatory evaluation, and community voice.
With a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology and advanced graduate degrees in Instructional Systems and Applied Behavior Analysis, Jenay has supported dozens of organizations—from NASA grantees and STEM education centers to nonprofits like Learn Ubique and Northeastern University’s Graduate School of Education.
Her expertise lies in translating insights from data and lived experience into actionable strategy. She is especially skilled in centering historically underserved populations in planning processes and designing learning environments that are inclusive, rigorous, and context-specific.

Ptosha Davis
With over 25 years of experience in legislative affairs, public engagement, and strategic community relations, Ptosha Davis has cultivated a career at the intersection of government, policy, and community impact. She has led comprehensive public engagement processes for both local and state officials, designing and executing outreach strategies that build trust, foster collaboration, and drive consensus among diverse stakeholders. Ptosha has successfully facilitated high-profile stakeholder conveneings, bringing together elected officials, community leaders, nonprofit advocates, and private sector partners to advance shared development and policy goals.
Her expertise includes managing complex community benefits planning initiatives, ensuring that development projects incorporate equitable outcomes, measurable benefits, and community priorities. Ptosha is an experienced trainer and technical assistance provider, having designed and delivered capacity-building workshops for organizations navigating legislative processes, compliance requirements, and stakeholder negotiations. She is adept at mediating and facilitating negotiations between government entities, community organizations, and developers, ensuring that agreements are both mutually beneficial and aligned with long-term community development objectives.

Takiya Green
Takiya Green is the founder of Divine Writing & Consulting Solutions and a seasoned empowerment strategist with over $70 million in funding secured for grassroots and national organizations. Her specialties include strategic grant writing, organizational development, funder engagement, and operational alignment for mission-driven organizations.
Takiya holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Nonprofit Management (magna cum laude), along with certifications in professional coaching and paralegal studies. She has supported clients across the country—including the City of Atlanta, Advancing Connecticut Together (ACT), and the Black Business Alliance—on strategic design and proposal development, securing transformational investments from the EPA, SBA, and DECD.
Takiya’s leadership style is relational, thoughtful, and results-driven. She brings a critical lens to capacity building and helps organizations build systems that match their vision.

Development | Preconstruction Consultant
Kyle Majors
Kyle Majors is a civil engineer, development strategist, and construction management professional with extensive experience leading high-impact projects across the public and private sectors. His background spans engineering, feasibility analysis, pre-construction planning, and owner’s representation for complex, multimillion-dollar design-build developments, including work with Gannett Fleming, Smoot Construction, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
At SJIC, Kyle serves as a Development and Pre-construction Consultant, offering specialized support to BVRI recipients through feasibility studies, design and pre-construction services, owner’s representative support, and procurement and contracting management. His detail-oriented approach, technical proficiency, and leadership in coordinating architects, engineers, contractors, and community partners ensure that projects move seamlessly from concept to construction.
Kyle holds a Master of Engineering Management from Duke University and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Alabama A&M University (Magna Cum Laude). He is a licensed Engineer-in-Training (EIT) in Maryland and certified in USACE Construction Quality Management and OSHA Construction Safety.

Real Estate & Community Development Consultant
DeAnne Sutton
DeAnne Sutton is a licensed real estate agent in Maryland with over a decade of experience helping buyers and sellers achieve their homeownership goals. She has extensive expertise in residential property transactions, negotiations, market analysis, and guiding clients through financing and closing processes. DeAnne has served in leadership roles within the Prince George’s County Association of REALTORS® and the Women’s Council of REALTORS®, where she championed diversity, inclusion, and community engagement. Her skills in Public Engagement and Community Benefits Planning, Interagency and Stakeholder Coordination, and Project Team Capacity Building make her a valuable contributor to BVRI TA engagements.
DeAnne has represented clients in complex real estate negotiations and coordinated with lenders, title companies, contractors, and inspectors to ensure timely project completion. She brings a collaborative, detail-oriented approach to client services and is adept at translating complex real estate and development processes into actionable steps for community-based organizations

Mareco Edwards, ESQ.
Mareco Edwards, Esq. is a practicing attorney with over 25 years of experience in risk management, procurement law, and strategic contract development. He has advised on the structuring, negotiation, and administration of complex contracts for large-scale public development and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Mareco has designed and implemented compliance systems that strengthen accountability, mitigate risk, and streamline reporting for government agencies, nonprofit developers, and private sector partners.
In addition to providing direct legal counsel, he has developed web-based compliance guidance and delivered specialized workshops on procurement strategy, regulatory requirements, and contract management tailored to developers, community-based organizations, and mission-driven nonprofits. Mareco’s legal expertise is frequently embedded within broader technical assistance teams, enabling clients to integrate sound legal frameworks into their overall project management, funding, and development strategies, helping to safeguard investments while advancing equitable community outcomes.

Jacob Vcelik, PMP
Jacob Vcelik is a federal strategy and program management expert with over 20 years of experience driving complex, high-impact initiatives across public infrastructure, defense, and regulatory environments. He has successfully led interagency and stakeholder coordination for large-scale projects, aligning federal, state, and local entities to streamline processes, secure resources, and achieve mission-critical outcomes. Jacob has facilitated strategic planning, transformation workshops, and design thinking sessions for agencies including the Department of Defense, Food and Drug Administration, and Office of Naval Intelligence, guiding cross-functional teams from concept to implementation.
